On April 26-27, 2022, Mr. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Africa to the Russian Federation Mzuvukile Maqetuka and Honorary Consul of South Africa to St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Vladimir Borisenko visited St. Petersburg State University and the North-Western Institute of Management RANEPA. The leadership of both universities warmly welcomed the delegation. The main topic of the meeting at RANEPA was the main national holiday of South Africa – Freedom Day. After a lecture on the national holiday and diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and South Africa Honorary Consul Vladimir Borisenko the floor was given to students to ask questions on Russian-South African relations and about the personality of the Ambassador of South Africa. The key discussion at the meeting at St. Petersburg State University was the inclusion of Mr. Ambassador in the Council of Educational Programs of the University in the direction of “World Politics”.
